Moving a dog that is a biting threat should be done with a muzzle. Any unknown dog taken in should be muzzled until you can judge its temperament, and even a beloved family dog can be a threat to bite if it is injured and scared. It’s advisable to muzzle such animals before attempting to take them to a vet after a severe injury. Check to be sure the dog can be safely muzzled.
