How Do You Make A Money Belt?

This is a quick and easy way to make a money belt for those who have basic skills sewing. I choose to be flexible in stitching and folding the fabric, so my pouch may look a bit different from yours. That’s the fun of being creative. Perfection can make things stressful, so take your time and look at the photos to help you along. Iron and Cut Out the Fabric. Ironing helps make it easier to manage the fabric so it is highly recommended. Cut two 6″ x 8″ rectangles. Sew in the Zipper. Align the zipper onto the 8″ side of each rectangle, right (pattern) side of the fabric to the front of the zipper. Pin the zipper for sewing as seen in the photo. Use a zipper foot on the machine to sew the zipper. It will make it much easier. However, in the example provided, I didn’t use a zipper foot and rested the sewing foot on the zipper as I sewed 1/8″ from the edge of the open zipper teeth. You can adjust the fabric so that it covers the zipper when it’s closed and have a nice hidden zipper. Sew bot
