How Do You Make A Moe Howard Three Stooges Costume?
• Recognize that the most important thing about getting in to character as Stooge (Moe) is the hair cut. So it is important to study photos of The Three Stooges, or watch a few of their movies…with the right hair cut, there will be no mistake in identifying your character. • Place the wig on the person’s head that will be wearing it, and next, slowly, cut the hair; pay very close attention to the bang area…the look that you’re going for, is like your mom stuck a bowl over your head, before cutting your hair. Once the right look is achieved on your hair cut, move on to the next step. Remember that none of the Stooges were much on dressing up, so there is no need to press the clothing, even a little faded or wrinkled will do; put on the shirt, slide into the overalls, slip on the shoes or boots, and fall in to character as a very funny man (Moe Howard).
