How Do You Make A Military Braid With Ribbon?
Ribbons can be shaped into any particular design, and there are thousands of designs to make and choose from. One such design is a military braid, which involves crisscrossing two pieces of ribbon together. Hot glue or staple the one end of each ribbon together. They should be positioned at a 90 degree or right angle (in an “L” shape). Take the bottom ribbon and make a 5/8-inch loop around the top ribbon. If you are using wide ribbons, simply make a loop wide enough for the top ribbon piece to pass through. Pull the top ribbon through the loop. Then make another loop with the ribbon you’ve just pulled through. Pull the bottom ribbon through the second loop you’ve just made. Switch back and forth between both ribbons as you continue to make multiple loops until you have the desired length you want for your military braid. Trim off the loose ends when you have the desired length. Then staple or hot glue the end piece under the final loop.
