How Do You Make A Mickey Mouse Ears Hat?
Are you ready to enter the magical world of Disney? Here is a simple way for Mickey fans of all ages to step into his world. Gather all of your materials in one area. Let’s make the ears! Using your paper, pencil, and ruler draw a circle that is 3.5″ in diameter (from one end to the other). Sketch a rectangle within the bottom of the circle to look like a tab at the bottom. (See template here.) Cut out and lay to the side. Next, using your paper ear template cut out 4 of these shapes from your black felt and two from your card board. Cut the bottom tab off the bottom of the cardboard pieces and trim it around the circle a bit to be smaller than the felt pieces (about 3″ diameter). Assemble each ear by stacking the two pieces of black felt with the cardboard positioned in the middle. Using your needle and thread sew the two pieces of felt together by simply threading up and down around the edge of the circle. EXCLUDE THE TAB!
