The following are some general steps for making a Super Mario Brothers ‘Mario’ costume. My directions are for the creative person who wants to make this costume at home, and save money doing so. Be creative and use what you have before you run out and buy extra supplies! Enjoy this costume and have fun making it! Find a pair of blue overalls in the closet, at a thrift store, or at a discount retailer. If you can not find blue overalls, get blue sweat pant ad a matching blue sweat shirt, and cut the sweatshirt to look like overalls. Attach to the sweatpants or just wear them to look like they are attached. Wear a red shirt underneath the blue overalls. The shirt can be long or short sleeved. You will want the brightest color red you can find, and it should be a solid color if possible- no patterns or pictures.
