Stringing uncooked macaroni into necklaces can be fun for kids of all ages. It doesn’t take much time to prepare and it’s an inexpensive craft idea. Kids really enjoy making something they can give as a gift to a parent or a special someone in their lives. Select one or several shapes of uncooked macaroni. Any type of pasta with a hole in the middle, such as ziti, will work. Color the pasta by mixing 5 to 15 drops of food coloring with 1 cup of rubbing alcohol. Then add about 1 cup of the pasta to the mix and stir until it’s coated. Take the pasta out of the mixture and let it dry. Cut string or colored yarn cut into different lengths.
