Anyone can learn to make a lucky crane for themselves or a friend. Make 1000 and you can make a wish! Start with a square sheet of paper and a hard, flat work space. The first step is to fold the paper in half diagonally so that you have two triangles and crease the fold with your thumbnail to make it sharp and clean. Next, grab the right point of the triangle and bring it to the left, folding the figure in half once again, and crease. Now unfold it and turn it around so the long side is facing away. Open up the left point, then bring the top down to make another triangle. Repeat with the opposite point and you’ll end up with a figure like the one on the far right. With the open part of the diamond facing down, grab the left point and fold it to the center. Do the same with the right point.
