This easy afternoon project can be done by anyone, whether you have experience with electrical wiring or not. Here’s how to make a liquor bottle lamp. Gather your materials. Your pre-packaged lamp kit (available at home and garden supply stores) should contain a stabilizing plug, bulb socket with cap, cord and a plug. Clean out the inside of the bottle thoroughly and allow to dry. It’s essential to remove all alcohol from the inside of the bottle. Shave the stabilizing plug, also known as a rubber stopper, down with a utility knife if it does not fit the opening in your bottle.
