How Do You Make A Lighted Bed Canopy?
After a hard day, wouldn’t it be wonderful to have your own hideaway to relax and daydream for a little while? Construct your own lighted bed canopy and feel as though you have escaped to a fabulous tent in the Sahara Desert as you watch the stars (fairy lights) overhead. Lay back and enjoy your favorite music with a glass of wine. Measure and place a pencil mark on the ceiling above the bed every 2 feet, starting at the head of the bed in the center to the foot of the bed. Make the same measurements and marks along each side of the bed on the ceiling. For most beds this will result in a total of 12 marks, or 3 rows of 4. Screw a cup hook into each of the marks on the ceiling. Hang a ring on each hook with fishing line. Cut each piece of fishing line 12 inches long and double it, so that the ring will hang approximately 6 inches down from the ceiling. Cut four lengths of the sheer fabric, allowing extra length for draping. The ends of the fabric can be at any level above the bed desire
