How Do You Make A Leopard Gecko Vivarium?

• First of all u will need the housing. I recommend getting a 20-gallon long aquarium but you could do with a 15 gallon. You could also use a Rubbermaid tub but make sure the dimensions are at least 30″x12″ and that it is tall enough for no escape. • Second now you will need a heating device. I personally recommend a under tank heater of the appropriate size. The heater should take up one third of the cages bottom and be completely to one side not in the middle. You could also use heat tape and it will work just as well. The reason I recommend an under tank heater is because Leos absorb heat from their stomachs. Another way to heat the cage is to get a dome light and for the bulb use a red heat bulb because the leopard geckos cannot see the head from the light so this will not disturb them. • Now you will need to put in a substrate. This is one of the most debated things but i will tell you what the best for the leopard gecko’s health is. What you can use is reptile carpet, paper towel
