Follow these simple instructions to make a lampshade frame, then add your own fabric and trim to create a wonderful new look for a favorite old lamp. Step 1 Use another lampshade as a guide to determine the diameter for the frame. Step 2 With the pencil, outline the top and bottom of the lampshade frame. Cut out these circles to use as patterns. Step 3 Unwind the twisted necks of the hangers with the pliers, and straighten out the wire as much as possible. Step 4 Shape the wire around the circumference of the bottom circle pattern.
