Re-use a wine bottle to make a stylish and cost effective lamp that will brighten any room! Thoroughly clean and dry an empty wine bottle. It is optional to remove any labels. Use a wine bottle with a wider base to make a more stable lamp base. Chianti wine bottles with the bottom half covered by natural fibers make really good lamp bases. Purchase a lamp kit from your local hardware or home goods store. Make sure the lamp kit is the same size as your wine bottle. The lamp kits usually contain several different adaptors, but bring the bottle along to the store to make sure it will fit. Follow the directions on the lamp kit.
