How Do You Make A Ladybug Cake?
Serving cake is great way to add fun to any party or even an ordinary Tuesday night family dinner. Cakes can be fashioned into just about any shape. Be creative and delight a small child by turning an ordinary dessert into a whimsical fantasy. Bake a cake that looks like a ladybug complete with large spots and an adorable ladybug face. Prepare two plain round 8-inch diameter vanilla cakes. You can use a mix or bake one from scratch by combining 2 cups of sugar, 1 cup of shortening, 1 cup of milk, 3 tsp. of baking powder, 1 tsp. of vanilla extract and 1 1/2 cups of flour in a single bowl. Pour the mix in a greased and floured baking pan. Bake the cakes at 350 degrees F until the tops are golden brown or a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool and remove them from the molds. Place the first cake on a cake stand. Add a layer of strawberry jam or vanilla frosting on top.
