How Do You Make A Lace Headband?
Instead of going to the store and searching for the perfect headband, choose the color, style and decorations to fit your needs and create a one-of-a-kind headband in minutes. Lace headbands, designed to be comfortable and stylish, are popular with young girls and babies. Measure the head of the person wearing the headband from ear to ear, across the top of the head. General measurements for headbands are: 6 inches for adults, 4 inches for a child, and 2 inches for a baby. Cut the lace to fit the measurement from Step 1. Cut the elastic half the length of the lace. Fold the cut ends of the lace up 1/4 inch and sew a quick hem to prevent raveling. Center the elastic at the end of the lace and attach them to each other with a needle and thread. Repeat at the other end of the lace. Sew the ends together to create a circle band.
