How Do You Make A Kwanzaa Cookbook?
Celebrate the Kwanzaa principle of unity by creating a family cookbook. Determine the number of people who will be participating in your Kwanzaa celebration. Ask each person to bring several of their favorite family recipes with them to the first night’s event. After the Kwanzaa ceremony, provide each person with several 5×7 index cards and a thin-tipped black marker. Ask guests to write down their recipes on the cards. Invite the children to participate by having them decorate 5×7 cards with red, green and black markers or crayons, Kwanzaa stickers, glue glitter, ribbons and other items. Gather the cards and punch two holes at the top of each card. (Make sure the holes are located in the same position on each card.) Organize the recipes. Use the cards decorated by the children as a cover and as category dividers, if desired. Bind the cards together with ribbon or with single binding rings sold at office supply stores. Add recipes to the book each year during Kwanzaa. Take good care of
