Cut two dowels or sticks, one three-feet long and one two-feet long. Cross the sticks at right angles with the longer stick being vertical. Have the shorter stick cross the longer about 2/3 of the way up the stick. Glue the sticks where they cross, and wrap string around the joining to hold the sticks together. Cut a slit at the end of each dowel large enough for the string to go in. Tie a loop in the end of the string. Slip the loop into the slit in the top stick. Slide the string through the slits in all the other sticks in order, ending again at the top stick, and tie off. This will create a kite-shaped string frame around the kite sticks.
