How Do You Make A Kite Out Of Bedsheets?

0

Making a kite is a wonderful project for children and adults alike. There are many kite designs to make using a variety of materials from newspaper to fabric. Making a kite out of a bed sheet can help find a new use for an item that might be ready for the trash. Cut the bed sheet smaller to make it more manageable or use a pillowcase. Place the fabric on the newspaper outline and cut out the kite pattern. Measure and mark the kite pattern outline (usually 3 feet and 4 inches) on a sheet of newspaper. Cut an inch or so outside the pattern lines to allow extra room when cutting the bed sheet. Use support rods, such as small lightweight plastic water pipes that are 1/4 inches in diameter, to use as the kite frame. Make the frame by connecting the supports together evenly on the kite’s edges as well as in the kite’s middle. Secure each rod or pipe together with sticky tape to finish the kite frame. Add the frame to the fabric with sticky tape for a small kite and with string or strong ties
