How Do You Make A Kite From A Plastic Bag?

0

This is a simple quick project you can do with your kids that will get them outside, and away from the TV. You will learn how to take a simple plastic grocery bag and turn it into a high flying kite. First you take the plastic bag and cut down one side Open the bag and fold outward so that the bag lays flat in sort of a diamond shape leaving a flap on the under side. Tape some skewers together to equal the length of the kite and another set of skewers to equal the width. Tape the skewers down the center and across from corner to corner. Make sure that both lines of skewers cross each at a close to perfect 90 degree angle. Flip the kite over and there should be a flap down the middle of the kite that comes out to a corner. Poke a hole in the flap right at the corner. Run your kite string through the hole and tie many knots in it to make sure it is secure. Your kite should now be ready to fly but if your kite begins to spin you might have to add a tail or adjust the angle of your skewers
