How Do You Make A Judgment Graphic Organizer?
A graphic organizer is a tool teachers can use to help students visually organize conceptual material. This teaching tool can be very valuable for helping students understand difficult material and/or define their thoughts on that material. Particularly when preparing students for a writing assignment or class discussion assignments, graphic organizers can support the student’s decision-making process. Making a judgment about either the interpretation or value of material is an important part of critical thinking. Determine what kind of judgment you want students to make. Is it evaluative or interpretive? Evaluative judgment is a determination of the value of something; interpretive judgment involves analysis and determination of what something means. Consider the material about which the students will be making judgments. For instance, consider whether they are they analyzing literature or sorting out scientific phenomena. Create a simple template for your graphic organizer on paper.
