Building a sugar cube igloo is a great project for kids of all ages. It is an easy and inexpensive idea that is great for a Christmas party, birthday party or just a rainy day. Not only is a sugar cube igloo fun to build, it is also a educational. In the process of building the igloo, kids learn about structures and construction. Step 1 Draw a circle on the cardboard to use as a guide for the first level of sugar cubes. A 7-inch diameter is a good size for the foundation. Step 2 Arrange the sugar cubes around the circle, leaving a gap of at least 2 sugar cubes for the doorway to the igloo. Step 3 Apply some frosting to the bottom of the next layer of sugar cubes and place them slightly closer to the center of the circle.
