How Do You Make A Hydroponic Drip System?

0

A drip system in hydroponics operates in much the same way a drip irrigation system does for a soil garden. Water is pumped through tubing and regulated so that water drips, rather than runs, in a steady stream. In a hydroponics system, however, you can recover the water, reducing the amount necessary to feed your plants. You can use a drip system in your hydroponics Dutch bucket system. The water source will be your reservoir within the bucket and the water will be recovered after it drips over the plant roots. Prepare your Dutch bucket. Cut a 1-inch hole to one side of the lid of a 5-gallon bucket. Cut a 3-inch hole in the center of the lid for your net pot. Fill the bucket two-thirds full with nutrient rich water. Put a garden pump in the bottom of the bucket and run the cord out of the 1-inch hole. Attach a length of 1/4-inch tubing measuring 1 1/2 feet in length to the pump and run the other end through the 1-inch hole as well. Attach the back-flow preventer to the tubing. Attach
