Select a pot at least 12 inches in diameter for the best floral display and to provide room for hummingbirds to hover and dine. Lightweight plastic pots or baskets lined with natural fibers are best. Fill the pot 2/3 full with lightweight potting mixture. Make your own with equal parts of all-purpose potting soil, peat moss and perlite or vermiculite. No only does this create a lightweight basket that is easy to handle, it provides plenty of aeration for roots as well. Choose plants for the pot. Consider the size and shape of the
