How Do You Make A Hot Pile For Composting?
Compost is the ‘black gold’ of the gardening world. If you use it in your garden, your flowers, vegetables, fruit, and herbs will thrive. The best thing is, it’s easy to make in your own back yard! Spread six inches of Carbon Rich Material in the bottom of your trash bin. Cover it with a two inch layer of fresh Nitrogen Rich Materials. Add two inches of your Balanced Materials Add enough water to your Materials so that they’re moist, but not so much water that they’re soggy. Repeat the above steps until your trash bin is full. After about 10 days turn your pile with a shovel or pitchfork. To do this simply take your shovel or pitchfork, and shovel out the contents onto the ground from the top of the heap to the bottom. Then shovel the contents back into the trash bin so that what was once on the top of your compost bin is now on the bottom. In about four to six weeks you’ll be rich with enough ‘blck gold’ to feed your garden with. Happy growing!
