With the number of special occasions throughout the year, gift giving can be very expensive. One way to cut the cost is to make gift bags with wrapping paper and free brown grocery bags. TAKE APART THE BROWN PAPER BAG. Examine your brown paper bag. Notice that it is glued together vertical at one point and on the bottom. Gently peel these edges apart so that the bag lays flat. At this point, if you would like a shorter bag, cut some of the height off, making sure to leave enough leeway to turn down a rim. See example in photo. GLUE WRAPPING PAPER TO PAPER BAG. Roll out wrapping paper and glue down the paper bag to the surface. Smooth down the bag so that there are no air pockets and so that you get a tight adhesion. Cut out around the bag leaving some extra wrapping paper along the vertical edge so that it will overlap with the other edge when you fold the bag together again.
