Have you ever wanted to own and play a drum, but it was too expensive? Well, you don’t need to buy one. You can just make one here instead! • Get a cylindrical container (make sure that it is empty) like an oatmeal container, popcorn tin, raisin jar, or an aluminum can and take off the lid. • Cris-cross many strips of electrical tape or masking tape over the top of the container until it is completely covered. • Measure and cut construction paper so that it will fit around the container. Wrap it around the container snugly and then tape it in place. • Decorate your drum if wished. Cut out various shapes from other construction paper and glue them onto the side of your drum. You may draw on them if you want to. • Try making drumsticks for a better sound.
