The best baked beans I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating are made with brown sugar and chili sauce. Prepare the ingredients: * 18 medium tomatoes, cored and cut into quarters * 3 green bell peppers, finely chopped * 1 cup of sugar * 1 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar * 2 teaspoons of salt * 1 teaspoon of ground cloves * 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon * 1 teaspoon of ground allspice * 2 medium onions, diced Prepare the canning supplies: * sterilized canning jars * sterilized canning flats and rings Place of all of the ingredients into a large heavy saucepan. Mix the mixture very well. Bring it to a simmer over medium heat. Simmer until the mixture becomes thick, stirring occasionally. Place into the jars, and seal immediately.
