How Do You Make A Hillbilly Costume?
• Try to find some old overalls, with or without holes and mud stain-these simply enhance the hillbilly over all look. • Unbutton one overall button and let the strap hang loosely. This is an optional suggestion to make your costume more realistic. • Find checkered pattern cloth and cut a portion of it into a square. Glue the square onto one leg of the overalls; you can cut as many squares as you like. An idea would be to use different patters for each square, or the same pattern at most twice. Roll one leg up about 5 times. • Wear a red checkered blouse for a girl or a dirty/old plain white shirt for a guy. These would go underneath the overalls. • Get a straw hat. An extra effect for this at would be to hang a fish hook on it. Wear old sandals or tennis shoes wear dirty ankle socks. If possible, go barefoot.
