How Do You Make A Hangman Game?
Hangman is a simple two-player game in which one player chooses a word and the other tries to guess the word by choosing different letters. A wrong guess adds another line to the drawing of a “hanged man” and the word must be guessed before the drawing is complete. The history of Hangman is muddled. Tony Augarde of “The Oxford Guide to Word Games” states that the game “seems to have arisen in Victorian times” and is mentioned in “Traditional Games,” a book written in 1894 by Alice Bertha Gomme, listed under the name “Birds, Beasts and Fishes.” Draw the Hangman’s gallows. Decide upon a word and draw a blank line for every letter on your paper. The guesser guesses a letter. Writing this letter down to keep track of the guesses is optional.
