How Do You Make A Hanging Pipe Rack?
Making a hanging pipe rack is a good way to keep a pipe collection organized and accessible without taking up a lot of space. Many pipe smokers have a large collection of pipes in their smoking rotation, and this hanging pipe rack will hold 40 or more pipes. You can make one with readily available inexpensive parts. Go to the houseware department of any hardware or department store and find a coated rectangular cooling rack approximately 11 inches wide by 16 inches long. These racks are designed to cool bread, cakes, pies, casseroles and other hot dishes and come in assorted colors including black, white, red and chrome. Determine where you want to hang your pipe rack. It can be on a wall in your house or office or on the back wall of a display cabinet. Make two marks on the wall approximately 9 inches apart.
