• Open the barrette/clip. • Lap the end of the scarf over the end of the barette. Lay one end of the scarf so that it overlaps the fastener end (opening end) of the barrette. • Attach it with wire. Wrap the wire around the scarf and barrette end. • Fold it over… Fold the scarf over to cover the barrette. • Make a loop. Form a scarf loop that ends close to the original wire wrap. • Attach with wire. Wrap the one loop of wire over the end of the newly formed loop. • Repeat… Repeat until you reach the hinge end of the barrette (or the scarf runs out, whichever comes first). • Tuck the end under itself to tie everything down neatly. Tuck the end of the scarf under itself and wrap one last wire loop to hold it down. • Tie off the wire and clip the ends off. • Adjust the loops so that they lay evenly along the length of the barrette.
