How Do You Make A Great Mexican Taco Style Salad?
This is a great Mexican taco-style main dish salad that is sure to please every one in your family who loves Mexican food and its accompanying ingredients. This recipe makes approximately 4 main-dish salads. Cut up/shred and mix iceberg and romaine lettuce until you have 2-2.5 generous handfuls of lettuce mixture per person. Prepare the remainder of your vegetable ingredients. Eyeball your amounts of the following ingredients needed for 4 individual main-dish salads: Chop onions; Cut tomatoes in half; Chop avocados; Open can of olives and drain; Saute ground beef in 10 inch skillet. Drain off excess fat/grease. Add packet of taco seasoning mix, (I use Old El Paso with 40% less sodium.) Add a third cup of medium taco sauce and a third cup of water. Mix all ingredients well. Then add a can of Green Giant Southwestern style corn, drained. Mix and simmer on low. Just before building your salads, add about 1 cup of shredded mexican cheese, (I prefer Kraft Four-Cheese Mexican blend.) Continu
