How Do You Make A Great Fettuccine Alfredo?

Fettuccine Alfredo is basically a pasta dish made with Fettuccine pasta and a creamy white sauce made from butter, cream and parmesan cheese. Restaurateur, Alfredo alla Scrofa, created this dish at his restaurant in Rome around 1914. Since then the recipe has gained worldwide recognition and there are many variations of this very rich and creamy pasta dish. Below is my version of this recipe. Ingredients for Fettuccine Alfredo: 1 pound of dry fettuccine pasta 1 cup of butter 2 1/2 cups of heavy cream 1/4 teaspoon of salt 1/8 teaspoon of freshly ground pepper 4 cloves of garlic, minced 3/4 cup of freshly grated Romano cheese 1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg 1 1/2 tablespoons of fresh parsley, chopped You will want to cook the fettuccine according to package directions. Drain the fettuccine and set aside. Do not rinse the fettuccine. Heat the butter over a low heat in a large skillet until it melts. When the butter melts add the minced garlic to the skille
