How Do You Make A Good Barbecue Sauce?

0

When you need a lot of barbecue sauce in a hurry this simple recipe is easy to make and will taste delicious. I have made it many times and gotten lots of compliments on it. This is a sauce that an experienced cook or an amateur can make. Not only is it a good basting sauce it is also good for dipping chicken nuggets or other finger foods in. Pour one quart of water into the pot. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat. While the water is heating up chop the onion. Be sure to chop it finely. When the water has reached a boil add the onion, ketchup, brown sugar, salt, garlic powder and vinegar to the water. Next turn the heat down to low and cover the pot. Stir the sauce occasionally and let simmer for about fifteen minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. After the sauce has cooled use the amount you need for your recipe. Be sure to cover and refrigerate the sauce that is left over. It will keep for several days and is actually better the second day.
