Decide where you want the hole for the downstem to be. Attach the diamond ball drill bit to the dremel rotary drill, and slowly drill a hole in the decided spot. This step must be done with caution, because the glass may potentially become too hot and break. To prevent this, you may want to keep the glass wet with some cool water. Detach the diamond ball drill bit, and attach the 1/4″ diamond cylinder drill bit. Widen the hole using the diamond cylinder drill bit until the downstem and grommet can fit snugly into the hole. Remove the grommet and downstem, and rinse off the glass shavings. Reinsert the grommet, downstem, and slide, and fill the glass container with water until the inserted end of the downstem is submerged.
