Using these instructions, you can make your own unique gift bags out of paper envelopes. They’re very chic, very economical and very very unique. Seal empty envelope, using glue at the corners of flap if necessary to ensure a full seal. Measure the width of the envelope and divide by 8. For instance, if the envelope is a 9×12″ manila envelope, the result of this calculation will be 1 1/8″. This is your depth measurement, though actually your finished bag will be twice as deep as that measurement. Cut off one end of the sealed envelope.
