How Do You Make A GIANT Chocolate Chip Cookie?
A giant cookie makes a great alternative to cake for a child’s birthday party. I had to experiment a bit though, before I hit on a recipe that really worked well when it was super sized. In a large bowl, beat butter, both sugars, and vanilla until the mixture is light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. In another bowl, stir together the flour and baking soda. Then add gradually to your butter mixture, stirring until everything is well blended. Add the chocolate chips in last. (You can add any type of chips you’d like to vary this recipe. Chocolate and peanut butter chips is a reliable favorite, or white chocolate and raspberry would be nice for a little girl’s birthday. Spread the batter onto a 14 inch round pizza pan sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Cool the cookie before decorating.
