A Genoa cocktail is an elegant, easy to drink cocktail with a sweet, fruity flavor. The Genoa cocktail should be a favorite for drinkers that don’t like the strong taste of alcohol associated with many drinks, as the mixers do a wonderful job at obscuring the alcohol taste. The Genoa is also a very versatile drink, and it can be served with food or after dinner in a variety of settings. This recipe makes one drink, served straight up, but you can build the drink in a highball glass and fill it with champagne and crushed ice if you want. Fill a cocktail shaker half-full with crushed ice. Add the lemon vodka, blueberry nectar, apple juice, grenadine syrup and lemon juice to the cocktail shaker. Cover the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into a chilled cocktail glass. Add the brut champagne to the cocktail and garnish the rim of the glass with a freshly twisted lemon peel. Serve immediately while ice cold.
