How Do You Make A Gelatine Waldorf Salad Mold?
Remember the gelatine salad molds from the 1960s when you were a kid, or Grandma used to make! You can still recreate them yourself, and are still a popular favorite when served at buffets, picnics & brunches! Super Easy to make, also! Step 1 Mix gelatine, sugar and salt thoroughly in a small saucepan. Step 2 Add 1/2 cup of the water. Step 3 Place over low heat, stirring constantly until gelatine is dissolved. Step 4 Remove from heat and stir in remaining 1 cup water, vinegar or lemon juice. Step 5 Chill mixture to unbeaten egg white consistency. Step 6 Fold in diced apples, chopped celery and chopped nuts. Step 7 Turn into a 4-cup mold or individual molds and chill until firm. Step 8 Unmold by dipping mold in warm water to the depth of the gelatine. Loosen around edge with tip of a paring knife. Step 9 Place serving dish on mold and turn upside down. Shake, holding serving dish tightly to mold. Garnish with fruit.
