Garden gazing balls and globes are popular outdoor decorations and can enhance the look of any garden. For the fraction of the cost of a store-bought garden decoration, you can make your own gazing ball with the colors and patterns to match your garden’s style. Beautify your garden and turn an unwanted ugly bowling ball into a one-of-a-kind garden decoration that will last for many years. Fill holes in the bowling ball with grout. Spread about a quarter inch layer of grout over the ball until you have about one-fourth of it covered. Place pieces of broken glass, mirror and tiles into the grout. Sink them well so they won’t fall out. You can make random patterns or more uniform patterns, depending on your materials and your preference. Spread more grout over the ball and work in sections.
