How Do You Make A Fruit Trifle Recipe?
What better way to throw together a delicious dessert in no time than making a fruit trifle. Just mix up this trifle recipe and layer it together and you have the perfect light treat for any occasion. Follow the instructions for the cake mix and bake the cake. I use an oblong pan since you are going to crumble up the cake to make the fruit trifle. Drain the fruit of your choice and place it in a bowl (I use the canned mandarin orange slices, pineapple chunks and fruit cocktail.) Mix the cool whip or Reddi-whip spray whipped cream. You can use either fresh whipped cream or cool whip, whichever you like. You can use whatever fruits you prefer. Put the cool whip and fruit mixture into the refrigerator to chill and blend. Once the cake is baked and cooled, divide the cake into thirds. Crumble the cake in the bowl, then layer the cool whip and fruit mixture over top, add another layer of cake then fruit mixture and again cake and fruit mixture. I like to top it off with cherries for looks.
