Fruit platters are the perfect healthy option for parties to give guests another choice besides the typical greasy and sweet treats. Making your own fruit platter will save you money and give you some creative freedom in the design and selection of fruit. Choose your fruits. Think about colors when making your selections so you have a variety of colors to work with. Fruit that works for this include strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, grapes, pineapple and starfruit. However most any fruit can be used. Also choose a platter or plate to serve the fruit on. Round platters usually work best and the size depends completely on how much fruit you would like to serve. Wash all the fruit.
