How Do You Make A French Memo Board Scrapbook Page?
French memo boards are an elegant way to display images and notes on your wall. They can also be a great way to show off photos and journaling on a scrapbook page. A patterned background paper is highlighted by criss-crossing ribbons and accented by buttons. Small photos can be tucked underneath the ribbons and journaling notes can be tacked on the memo board. Choose a piece of 12-inch patterned paper such as a toile, brocade or subtle pattern. Cut eight lengths from a color coordinated ribbon. Place four lengths of ribbons crossing diagonally on the page. Tack down each piece of ribbon, securing near the edge but leaving the center looser. Add the next four sections of ribbon, crossing the opposite direction. Attach the ribbon down, again securing near the edge. Secure the whole page onto a piece of cardstock for stability. Glue a small button where the ribbons intersect. Tuck photos and notes under the ribbons, using adhesive to adhere them securely to the page.
