How Do You Make A Football Party Cake?
I was trying to make a cake for a football party and had a hard time trying to find the correct directions on how to make one. After much research I decided on a 9×13 sheet cake on the bottom and football made of a 8″ round cake on the top. Bake both cakes according to box. Use the white cake as the field in the 9×13 pan. Use the chocolate cake as the football and bake it in 2 8″ pans. One of these cakes will not be used. Let both of the cakes cool. Use the 2/3 of the Vanilla frosting and add green food coloring in it until it matches the color of a football field. Spread this along the 9×13 cake. Save the leftovers for the decorative bottom. Use the remainder of the Vanilla frosting and place it into a decorating bag using the round tip. Make 10 lines across the field that resemble the yards, leaving more room at the end for the end zone. Take one 8″ cake and cut a 2″ piece out of the middle of it. This will be your football.
