Building your own table can be a little challenging, but it will possibly save you money in the long run. Anyone can do this project, it just takes a few supplies and a little effort. Saw two 18-inch sections off the 1-inch-by-6-inch wood and then cut them both in half. The four pieces will make up the top of the table. Cut off four 16-inch-by-1 1/2-inch sections for the legs and one 16-inch-by-2 1/2-inch section for the stretcher. Saw off two 10-inch-by-1 3/4-inch pieces for the leg supports and cut two 10-inch-by-1 1/4-inch pieces for the small stretchers. Sand the wooden sections on all sides and place them flat with the good side down. Use the table saw to square off the four pieces on the ends. Make 1/4-inch spaces in between the boards.
