How Do You Make A Fleece Scarf?
Winter is not far away. If you are looking for a fashionable way to stay warm or a cute gift idea that is sure to be appreciated, this is an ideal project. Don’t know how to sew? No problem. You can whip up these scarves without threading a needle. These scarves are also a great project for your Girl Scout troop or kids’ arts and crafts class. Step 1 Cut a section of fleece that is 72-inches long and about two feet wide. Step 2 Determine how long you want this scarf’s fringe to be. Cut a square that size from each corner of your piece of fleece. For example, if you want fringe that is seven inches long, cut a seven-by-seven-inch square from every corner of the fleece. Step 3 Fold the fleece in half lengthwise with the “wrong side” or back side of the fleece touching. Step 4 Slice half-inch wide fringe the same length you used for the square cut-outs along the entire short edges of the fleece. Step 1 Choose a cute, fun fleece that matches your personality or even someone who might like one of your fun scarves. Cut your fleece to the desired length. Make sure that it is twice as wide as you want your finished scarf. Step 2 Fold your fleece in half and sew the raw edges together about 5/8″ from the edge. Turn your fleece tube inside out placing seam directly in center or on the side. Step 3 Sew straight across the short edge 3-4 inches from the top. Cut into strips perpendicular to the seam you just made to create fringe. Do the same for the bottom. Step 4 Appliqué or embroider something special on one end.
