Leave room for about 1/4 inch all around for a seam. Cut two fleece Christmas stockings in the background color. Save a scrap for a hanging loop. Cut the decorative layer. Lay the stocking pattern over the fleece fabric you are using for the decorative color and cut one stocking with no seam allowance. Just cut around the pattern exactly. Check for accuracy. Lay the decorative layer over the stocking layers to be sure it fits within the boundaries of the stocking and that there is still room for stitching around the fleece stocking.
