Rubber band cars are an easy craft project. They can be made quickly, and are simple to use. Test out different rubber band widths and diameters to get different speeds and distances. Make several cars to race against each other to see which is faster. You can also experiment by racing the cars on different surfaces to see how each surface affects the running of the car. Cut the corrugated cardboard into a rectangle 5 by 6 inches. On one 5-inch side, cut a large notch measuring 2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches deep. Slide the dowel through one hole in the corrugated cardboard on the notched side. It should cross over the notch into the opposite side. Cut the dowel so that it extends evenly on either side of the cardboard, roughly 4 inches on either side. Wrap a piece of tape around the middle of the dowel where it crosses the notch, leaving a small piece sticking up. Slide the washers into the holes in the CDs and slide one on either side of the dowel. Push the putty into the holes on the
