How Do You Make A Fantastic Waldorf Salad?
Salads at restaurants seem so much more appealing than those we throw together at home. But given a little motivation and the right ingredients, you can create a restaurant-worthy salad in under 10 minutes. Step 1 Wash all of the vegetables and fruit to remove any pesticides or dirt. Pat dry. Step 2 On a cutting board, arrange all of the items to be sliced: the grapes, the apple, and the celery. Slice the grapes in half, the apple into thin pieces measuring about half an inch in length and width. Slice the celery as thinly as you can. Step 3 Toss all of the sliced ingredients into a large bowl with the mixed greens, walnuts and gorgonzola cheese. You can either toss the chicken in with these ingredients, or place the chicken atop the salad. Step 4 I prefer to serve the dressing on the side, as the flavors of the grapes, cheese, walnuts and apple create a lovely blend on their own. However, you can toss the vinaigrette lightly with the salad.
