How Do You Make A Family Christmas Stocking Door Hanger?
Here’s a Christmas decoration that the entire family can make. It will take about an hour or two. Each family member will have the chance to personalize their own special part, or you can surprise them with a special design. Cut a rectangle 18 inches wide by 6 inches long from a red piece of foam. Cut 6 holly leaves and three stockings from green foam. You will be making stockings for each person in your family. Cut out white foam to look like the fur at the top of the stockings. Cut a small strip of ribbon to use as a loop to hang the stockings. Write each person’s name on the white foam with a fine point permanent marker. Glue one white foam piece to the top of each stocking. Decorate each stocking with embellishments. You can use other foam to cut out Christmas trees, snowflakes or snowmen. Use glitter or jewels to make each one special to the person whose name is on it. or have them decorate their own stocking.
